Terms of service
1. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
All clients must sign this agreement before receiving grooming services. By signing, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below, including service policies, liability waivers, and emergency procedures.
2. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION POLICY
Your personal information is stored securely and will never be shared with third parties except in emergencies (i.e., veterinary care).
We maintain records of grooming history, preferences, and any behavioral or medical notes.
We use your contact details for appointment reminders, salon updates, and promotions (opt-out available).
Customers may request a copy of their records or ask for their information to be removed at any time.
3. APPOINTMENTS, DEPOSITS, & CANCELLATIONS
A valid credit card must be kept on file.
At the discretion of Doggie Salon & Spa, a deposit of 50% of the estimated service may be taken in lieu of having an authenticated credit card on file.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy:
48+ hours notice: Deposit will be transferred to the next appointment.
Less than 48 hours notice: 50% of service fee will be charged.
Same-day cancellation/no-show: 100% of service fee will be charged.
Same-day cancellation/no-show: At the discretion of Doggie Salon & Spa, will require non-refundable pre-pay or deposits for future bookings.
Late Arrivals:
15+ minutes late = appointment may be rescheduled with a cancellation fee.
Late Pick-Ups:
$5 fee for every 15 minutes past the agreed pick-up time.
4. SERVICE & PRICING POLICY
Pricing is based on breed, size, coat condition, and temperament.
Additional charges apply for:
Matted coats requiring extra time or shaving.
Uncooperative/aggressive behavior requiring additional handling.
Specialized hand-scissoring or styling requests.
Full payment is due at pickup.
5. MATTED FUR RELEASE POLICY
Severely matted coats may require shaving for the dog’s comfort and safety.
By signing, you acknowledge that shaving may expose pre-existing skin conditions, irritations, or abrasions.
In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act, we will not perform excessive dematting beyond 20 minutes.
Additional charges apply based on matting severity.
6. HEALTH & VETERINARY POLICY
Dogs must have up-to-date Rabies & Parvovirus vaccinations.
We cannot groom sick, injured, pregnant, or in-heat dogs.
Pets that have been microchipped within 24 hours prior to their appointment may not be groomed due to potential sensitivity.
Fleas/Ticks:
If fleas are found, a flea treatment will be applied with an extra charge.
Grooming may be halted if flea infestation is severe.
We do not remove ticks—this must be done by a veterinarian.
Emergency Care:
We will attempt to contact you if medical attention is required.
If unreachable, we will seek emergency veterinary care at your expense.
Owners must reimburse costs within 14 days.
If the estimated cost exceeds $500, we will seek owner approval before proceeding.
7. BEHAVIORAL POLICY & LIABILITY
Aggressive Dogs:
If a dog shows aggression, a muzzle may be used.
If an owner refuses a muzzle, the appointment will be canceled immediately.
Owners are liable for injuries caused by their dog to staff or property.
Doggie Salon & Spa reserves the right to refuse service at any time.
Owners acknowledge grooming is performed at their own risk.
8. ELDERLY DOG POLICY
Dogs over 10 years old are more susceptible to stress and injury.
Owners assume full responsibility for any health-related issues arising during/after grooming.
A veterinarian's clearance may be required for older pets.
9. PUPPY GROOMING POLICY
We welcome puppies 12 weeks and older who have completed their second round of vaccinations.
Our puppy grooming package includes:
Gentle introduction to bathing, drying, brushing, and nail trimming.
Short, stress-free sessions to help puppies acclimate to grooming.
Positive reinforcement techniques to make grooming a pleasant experience.
Owners are encouraged to regularly brush their puppies at home to prevent matting and familiarize them with handling.
Regular grooming sessions from a young age help prevent stress and anxiety in future appointments.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA CONSENT
We may take before/after photos for promotional purposes.
By signing, you grant permission for images/videos to be used on social media and marketing materials.
Customers may opt out in writing.
DISPUTES & CHARGEBACK POLICY
Clients agree to contact Doggie Salon & Spa directly to resolve any service concerns before initiating a chargeback with their bank.
Refunds are only issued at the discretion of Doggie Salon & Spa.
12. LIABILITY WAIVER
I understand and agree that:
Doggie Salon & Spa and its staff shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or death of my pet while in their care.
I am fully responsible for any veterinary costs that arise from injuries, medical episodes, or emergencies during or after the grooming process.
I release Doggie Salon & Spa from all claims, damages, and liability related to grooming services.
1. MEMBERSHIP TERMS
By enrolling in a Doggie Salon & Spa membership, you agree to the following terms:
Membership is auto-billed monthly (every 28-days) and requires a minimum 3-month commitment.
Memberships renew automatically until canceled.
Services included in the membership must be used within the billing cycle and do not roll over.
Memberships are non-transferable and apply only to the enrolled pet.
Doggie Salon & Spa periodically reviews pricing to ensure alignment with changes in service costs, labor expenses, and overall business operations.
Adjustments, if necessary, will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect.
2. BILLING, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Membership fees are charged automatically to the card on file on the same day each month.
Members may cancel with 30 days’ written notice before the next billing cycle.
Early cancellations before the 3-month commitment will result in a charge equal to one month’s fee.
Declined payments must be resolved within 7 days to avoid membership suspension.
Membership fees are non-refundable, including partial refunds for unused services.
Exception: In the event of pet illness, injury, or passing, refunds may be issued at the salon’s discretion.
3. SERVICE USAGE & PLAN CHANGES
Membership includes specified grooming services, detailed at signup.
Additional services beyond the membership plan will be billed at standard rates.
Appointments must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability.
No-shows or late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) result in a forfeit of that session.
Members may upgrade or downgrade their plan with 30 days’ notice, effective in the next billing cycle.
4. MEMBERSHIP HOLDS & SUSPENSION
Members may pause their membership for up to 2 months per calendar year for reasons such as travel, pet illness, or personal circumstances.
A membership hold must be requested at least 14 days in advance.
Memberships will automatically reactivate at the end of the hold period.
If a hold is requested after a billing cycle has been charged, the pause will take effect in the next cycle.
5. MULTI-PET MEMBERSHIPS
Each pet must be enrolled separately; benefits cannot be shared between pets.
Mult-pet membership households may be eligible for exclusive perks and priority scheduling.
6. VIP MEMBERSHIP TIERS
We offer tiered memberships with increasing levels of perks:
Bath Club Membership:
One bath per month
10% off all other Premium Add-on Services!
Spa Club Membership:
Two baths per month
15% off all other Premium Add-on Services!
Premium Membership:
Weekly bath services
Complimentary Teeth cleaning and "Pawlish" services
25% off all other Premium services
VIP members receive priority scheduling, ensuring faster access to appointments during peak times.
8. ANNUAL PAYMENT DISCOUNT
Members who prepay for 12 months receive a 10% discount on the total membership cost.
Annual memberships are non-refundable but can be transferred to another pet within the same household.
9. CUSTOMER REFERRALS & LOYALTY PROGRAM
Members who refer a new client to the membership program will receive:
25% off their next month for both them and their referral
One free add-on service
Long-term members (12+ months) may be eligible for exclusive perks and priority scheduling.
10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & CUSTOMER SUPPORT
Any disputes regarding billing or service quality must be reported within 7 days of the incident.

Doggie Salon & Spa reserves the right to amend policies as needed with notice to members.
11. LIABILITY & AGREEMENT TO TERMS
Membership holders agree to all terms outlined in the Master Customer Agreement.
Doggie Salon & Spa is not liable for unused services, changes to membership plans, or pet-related incidents.
